As the sequel to the science fiction classic, 2049 reintroduces viewers to the world of Bladerunner; complete with it’s iconic neon-drenched cityscapes and melodic synths.
Though it builds on and improves many of its predecessor’s genre-defining characteristics it fails to shed the flawed largely male-centric perspective of the past.
